I am Aron Lam, your elected Mayor of Keenesburg as of 2022.
I have led with integrity, and transparency, to expand the freedoms of our community while prioritizing accountability and efficiency in government.
Started in April 2025, to protect their own self-interests and the status-quo, a recall election has been put forth against me.
The faction seeking to undermine our efforts at reform have alleged that I have lied, I have engaged with behavior unbecoming of an elected official, I have not engaged with residents regarding changes to our town code and have created a hostile work environment for Town staff.
I reject the baseless recall petition against me. My administration has prioritized Keenesburg’s growth thoughtfully, with transparency through open town halls, public budgets, and welcoming feedback. Allegations of lying are vague; I’ve challenged petitioners for specifics. I’ve sought public input on major decisions, including Town Code updates, and supported our Police Chief. Economic growth, improved infrastructure, and a lower mill levy reflect residents’ priorities. Employee turnover is a common small-town challenge, not evidence of a hostile workplace. This recall feels like a personal vendetta. I’ve served with integrity and urge residents to reject this divisive effort and keep Keenesburg moving forward together.
